  1. First, inspect the front of the card for a directional arrow.
  2. Next, examine the back side for a distinctive black magnetic stripe, which may also appear in brown, silver, or gold. If both are present, it's most likely a
  magnetic stripe card.
  
  However, if the card's surface is devoid of markings-aside from an occasional front arrow-you are likely handling a
  RFID card.
